DJ Roster

You can hear it in his music: The countless nights of dance floor devastation, the appreciation for the heritage of dance music, the aggressive desire to innovate and do something new. Listen to “Foul beats,” Boris’s first track for revered techno label SCI+TECH, and it’s all right there. Add to that “in the house” on Suara along with his own releases on his own label Transmit and his Transmissions podcast that’s aired on 57 stations across 36 countries.

There are overnight sensations, and then there’s Boris. Baptized in the booths of New York City, the Russian native learned the craft of DJ-ing in front of the most demanding crowds in the world, developing a deep sense of what moves a packed floor in a moment, an hour, or a full night-to-morning extended session. From early 90s to today, he’s been a resident at every major New York nightclub (including Pacha, Crobar, and Roxy), and received award nominations for his service (Club World Awards, America’s Best DJ), not to mention the adorationof dedicated fans (who boldly declare that they “Believe in Boris”). He’s also released several compilations on local label Nervous: Timeless capsules of the sounds of the city.

But New York is just the beginning of the story. Boris has played regularly at clubs all over the globe, from United States hotspots like Space (Miami) and Space ( NYC) to overseas legendary venues like Womb in Japan. With appearances at festivals in Mexico, Canada anda regular at BPM (Mexico) he has also brought his particular set of skills to South America,London, Korea,Japan, andIbiza. 2015 has seen Boris debut at NY brand new Ibiza Transplant Space Ibiza NY with 2 shows already selling out to his loyal NY fans.

Now, Boris is parlaying all that international intelligence into new productions that represent a fresh musical direction. New Generation, his aptly named debut EP on SCI+TECH (the venerable underground label of legendary artist Dubfire), is deep techno with an energetic BPM: One cut of undeniable funk (“Generate”)and one of undeniable filth (“Foul Beats”), each meant to take the night to the next level. Recent releases that have topped the charts have been his “In da houz” and “BE” released on Coyu’s hot label Suara, along with “over it” out on Tool Room and “loveperc” out on Carl Cox’s label Intec. Expect many more releases from Boris in the upcoming months on monster labels such as Tronic and Alleanza.

Looks can be deceiving. His young, fresh face and innocent smile can lead your assumptions astray. Louie Corrales has been making strides in the nightlife industry and those strides are consistent, steady and funkdafied just like his musical style. Born under the of the Libra in the late 70s, Louie Corrales exhibits many of the Libra-like traits while working his magic on the turntables. With fierce concentration, his balance between tantalizing the crowd into a frenzy and having the ability to keep them calm, controlled and connected is one of the powers he possesses that keeps crowds under his control.

His influence began as a young boy being raised in a predominantly Latin household that exposed him to everything from the drums of the salsa beat to the sweet, savory twang of country music. As Louie grew older and was exposed to the variety that New York City had to offer, he added to his roster of musical tastes and soon was a fan of hip hop, rock, reggae and dance. His exposure to so many different genres of music helped Louie respect and recognize the many different musical attitudes that drew people in and helped to form the method of spinning madness that he now uses to keep his fans on the dancefloor party after party. His Djing adventures have taken to such venues as Pacha NYC, Crobar Cielo (the small, intimate club located in the meatpacking district), Avalon (formerly know as Limelight), Discotheque (the once popular after hours club), Canal Room (the trendy hotspot in downtown Manhattan), Cellar Bar (the posh lounge/club in the Bryant Park Hotel), to Nation (long Island’s only underground party) and even secured a place in the socialite retreat Cabana, a Hampton’s hot spot where he has been establishing his name and building a fan base. It took hard work and dedication, but Louie has joined the ranks of DJs who he not only respects but who have inspired his work. Just like these great DJs, Louie’s path to success has taken shape, and following in their footsteps has become a reality. Louie plans to continue to bring his tribal house music to clubs, showing NYC how varied and addicting the genre can be.

Louie’s constant usage and tributes to his Latin heritage has helped reignite the passion for Latin music that once flourished in the mid 1990s in the NYC nightlife industry. His vision is now enforced only by the backing of Jonpaul (FAST), one of the leading NYC promoters, whose objective is to reinstate the essence of nightlife being about the music. As one of their primary DJs, Louie continues to execute his plan with his funky, chunky, and oh so down and dirty musical style. Looks can be deceiving but Trust Us, this baby faced musical genius will never let you down.

At the age of 9 years old, Vinny Rue was intrigued with his first drum set given to him as a gift to satisfy his urge to make beats. Music has always been a part of Vinny’s life from a young age playing in a neighborhood band as the drummer, to his break dancing and roller skating days, back in the 80’s bronx era. With a natural ear for music, and an uncanny desire to be the man providing the beats, Vinny was inpired at a young age to be a DJ. It wasn’t until 1998 that Vinny decided to make moves and purchased his first DJ set up for a small basement. It’s been a long road from that same basement set up to such gigs as the main floor of Pacha NYC.

Vinny has been a man on a mission ever since, with his love for the dark, tribal beats and his uncanny ability to control any dance floor. Vinny has proved himself time and time again as a player in the NYC dance music club scene.

Along the way Vinny has graced the decks at almost every major NYC venue and has steamrolled over every obstacle thrown his way. His residency at Spiderclub afterhours and his teaming up with TRUST US ENTERTAINMENT promotional team was what moved Vinny into the limelight. As a DJ in an already crowded market, it took a lot of hard work for Vinny to make a name for himself and compete with what seemed like an ever-growing market. Spiderclub was the first of many successful parties thrown by TRUST US, and Vinny was a part of them all, creating the vibe and atmosphere that put him at the tip of everyone’s tongue and led to more bookings all over the city. With subsequent gigs at Gypsy Tea, Pacha, Temple, Show, Opus 22, Avalon and many more, Vinny has been making the noise necessary to be a force to be reckoned with in the NYC scene. With his baby faced looks and his old school Italian demeanor, Vinny is a class act amongst men that will be here for a long time and will be providing the entertainment and fresh talent that NYC and the rest of the world needs.

Vinny enterred the world of production, with “Bassline Drama” as his first piece of work, through which he began to develop his production experience. This production allowed Vinny to learn, on his own, the basics of the art of production and put out a sensational track in a little over a month. What began as a little drummer boy out of the Bronx has grown into a major player on the dance music scene. Expect to hear much more out of Vinny in the coming years.
